John Purcell, the founder of Palladio Mouldings, has spent his entire working life knuckles-deep in plaster. His skills and knowledge grew under the exacting tutelage of experienced specialists. As John saw the results of his work with this venerable material -- from the austere and precise, to the organic and inspired -- it caused his passion for classical architecture and proportions, and traditional means and methods to bloom alongside his flourishing craftsmanship.

After nearly 20 years under the looming pressure to adopt a less traditional, more assembly-line approach, John sensed the only way to keep creating higher-quality, handcrafted pieces was to start his own enterprise. Adopting the name of one of history's most influential architects, Palladio Mouldings opened its doors in 2008. With a select crew of talented peers, Palladio Mouldings has become recognized by the world's foremost architects, project engineers, and construction managers.

Palladio Mouldings will always be an acknowledged authority on traditional plaster methods and a producer of hand-made products of exacting quality and precision.
